If you're planning to fly your drone over Durham on July 12, 2025, think again. The UK government has announced a temporary ban on unmanned aircraft in the area due to the Durham Miners’ Gala.

To ensure public safety during the iconic Durham Miners’ Gala, unmanned aircraft (drones) will be restricted from flying in certain areas around Durham on July 12, 2025. This decision comes from the Secretary of State, backed by a request from the Durham Constabulary.
